Curriculum shopping is a lot. Start with a short list.
Answer seven questions about your family. You get the few complete curriculums worth looking at first, and the reason each one matched.
Free. No sign-up. No one paid to be on the list.
How it works
No account needed, and no AI runs while you use it. It all happens on this page.
- Covers 1st grade and 4th grade
- Literature-based, in its own words
- Open-and-go, the publisher says
Every fact comes from the publisher's own site
This tool doesn't rate anything. It lines up what you asked for with what each publisher says about itself.
That makes it a place to start, not a verdict. Read the publisher's site, look at the samples, and ask a mom who uses it before you buy.
- Facts from the publisher's own website only
- Key facts checked a second time
- Last checked October 8, 2026
- No prices, because they change
- No ratings, and no one paid to be listed
Why not just ask ChatGPT?
You can. But I used AI to build this list, so I know what a careful answer takes.
It took more than 800 page reads and searches across the publishers' own websites, then a second pass to check the first. About one fact in four needed a correction on that second check.
So I spent the AI time once, and you get the checked version. Start here, then take your short list to ChatGPT and talk it through.
- Said a publisher never mentions dyslexia. It does, in its own FAQ.
- Listed three teaching styles for a program that only calls itself eclectic.
- Put an outside writer's words in a publisher's mouth.
Made by a homeschool mom, not a big app
Homeschool With Margin isn't a big app or a company with a sales team. It's one mom: me. I build the tools and write the guides myself.
I was homeschooled from kindergarten through 12th grade, I homeschool my own two kids now, and I've spent 15 years in web and tech.
Tell me what's off
Publishers change their programs. If a fact here is out of date, or a curriculum you love is missing, tell me.
Real feedback from real moms is how it gets better.
Has it helped?
A few sentences about how it went helps another mom decide if it's worth trying.
